Today in our Moment of Change Fit Finance club we talked to about a dozen of our members. The hot topic of the day was how COVID interrupted their youth entrepreneurship aspirations. 

Sari, 15yr high schooler, had just started making real moves with her Moment of Change mentored skin care business before COVID shut everything down. She went from dreaming of making her first million before she was 18 to struggling just to get the supplies she needed for her business. 

Sari pointed out that very few people address the true impact COVID had on those still in school. It killed their drive to start businesses, some of her peers have become reclusive which impacted the way they see their dreams playing out. 

Carol, 13, echoed what Sari had to say about how COVID impacted their entrepreneurship spirit and how they see money moving forward. The negative impact of COVID and the shut down that followed rocked the spirits of the youth. 

It is our hope, that through our program, Moment of Change crew members can inspire youth across the nation to keep their drive alive and be the amazingly talented, financially stable and innovative people they were meant to be. 

Our annual The Official Santa Project has kicked off strong this year. Since 2020 is unique and has forced us to move all our programming online, we are excited to say that we are now reaching kids from across the nation. Normally our program was only offered to children in our local programs, but since we are virtual this year, we talked to Santa and all agreed to offer it to kids across the US. 

After opening our registration on its usual, Friday after Thanksgiving, we have received many request for Santa and the workshop is busy helping Santa respond as quickly as possible.
